Our on-going mission project is assembling “heart pillows” for mastectomy patients at Good Shepherd Hospital. We are also involved in various other mission projects throughout the year. Most recently, we’ve collaborated in an effort to sew 4,000 cloth masks to donate to persons and groups in the community. Several of our members also volunteer at Community Meals, Meals with Wheels, and the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

Faith Talks are monthly conversations with United Methodist Women hosted by Jennifer R Farmer, Spotlight PR.  Each conversation explores themes and resources that empower us to put faith, hope and love into action. There are links to articles in response, an award-winning publication, which is the official magazine of United Methodist Women and is published by the national office. Each issue will touch your heart, stir your soul and challenge your mind. Topics and issues cover spiritual growth, mission outreach and reports on our local, national and international work.

United Methodist Women has been challenging social injustice for more than 150 years and continue its advocacy work today. The issue priorities for 2022 are the school to prison pipeline and climate justice, specifically reducing the carbon footprint emissions of corporations and individuals.
